Why Duel?

I built Duel out of hate, despise and revenge towards the bad actors.

And out of love and care for the retards and degenerates. The world needs Duel as much as junkies need pure meth instead of shit laced with fentanyl.

I've been in this space for a long time, and I've been utterly disgusted by everything in it. The scamming, the rigging, the marketing with fake bets, and overall the lack of authenticity. Nobody really gives a fuck about anything except how to squeeze the most amount of money from their users and they don't care how deceptive methods they use. Duel is the antidote. Duel is a declaration of holy war. Duel is a crusade.

Who Duel?

Hi, I'm known as Monarch.

For the last 9+ years, I've been running the biggest CS skin casino called CSGOEmpire.

Transitioning my focus from Empire to Duel was quite a bold move, financially speaking. I had an insane cashcow generating me 100m+ per year. But I no longer had passion for it. I felt like I achieved what I needed to achieve in that space, and now I'm going for something bigger and bolder.

For years, I fought against scammers in the CS casino space, and I would say I did a pretty damn good job at purifying that space and building a fairer alternative for people to gamble and trade with CS skins.

Now, I want to do the same thing but for something bigger -- I'm coming in to purify the gambling space the best I can. I'm going to build the purest and fairest casino that I possibly can, and I'm going to continue on my path of waging war against the shady operators in the industry.

The cult was founded two years ago and we had quite an insane run for some time, until unfortunately a couple of the key cultlords dropped the ball, primarily due to a drug-induced psychosis. For the recent months the cult has been in a somewhat dormant state, waiting to be given the spark to reach new heights. At the moment my key focus is to establish the foundation of Duel first, and after that, we'll go full-on at waking up the cult and waging war against the worst shady operators in this space.

What are you really up against?

Worst of all, scammers.

There's been lots of rigging and withdraw locks, among other deceptive things. Also one thing I really hate is the fake bets meta, which basically all top crypto casinos exploit -- They hire these manchild actors who scream at the camera, pretending to win big money even though it's all fake balance.

All of these fuckers -- We want to name and shame them, and shift the meta. Behold.

On Duel, you can rest assured that when you see someone wagering -- Whether it's one dollar or one million -- It's always real money. Authenticity over all.

How is Duel better than other casinos?

First of all -- We actually give a fuck about the users.

My top priority is not to make money. It is to treat the users fairly. We're extremely transparent, and we don't use overly predatory dark-UX strategies to suck you dry. Just fair gambling, in it's purest form. But, the craziest thing -- We offer the best odds, also called the highest RTP, or lowest house edge, or whatever you want to call it. It's literally the best odds out of any casino in history. It's pretty fucking exciting. On most casinos such as Stake and the other big names, the highest RTP you find on the house games will be 99%. At Duel, we have an obsessive goal to build games with 100% RTP. At the moment we stand at 99.9%.

Even though the numerical difference sounds small, there is a HUGE difference between 99% and 99.9% RTP. You can run some simulations on this here.

The difference is ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE, especially if you're a regular gambler who will play for years. If you gamble with 99% RTP, over the years your odds of being in profit will probably be less than 10%. With 99.9%, it's going to be much closer to the 30-40% range. With 100% RTP, it's going to be very close to 50%. Basically if you play games with a house edge, you're nearly GUARANTEED to lose your money. We're excited to be building GAMBA in it's purest form where you genuinely have a solid chance to win, and where smart gamblers can entertain themselves without feeling guilty about losing stupid amounts of money in EV. It's kind of like drugs without side-effects.

100% RTP at Duel? Really?

Yes, this is the goal, and actually in the upcoming weeks we'll have the first versions of this ready. Basically you'll be able to play on the house edge with 0 house edge -- Imagine a dice game where the chance to win x2 is 50-50 -- Not 49.5-50.5 like on Stake.

However, this comes with limits. We can't let you gamble infinite amounts with 0 edge due to the variance it causes. Operating with 0 edge is pretty damn hard -- Near impossible actually. There's a reason nobody has ever managed to do this before.

Why is 100% RTP so hard to build?

Because of the variance. If we offer 50-50 games against our customers, it's practically inevitable that we would go bust sooner rather than later. Even though we're backed by a 9-figure bankroll, even that could and probably would be lost sooner or later if we would take an uncapped volume of 0 edge bets.

So how are you going to make money?

I don't know if this will make money. I think it probably will and I hope so, but that's not the main point. For the most part this is a passion project.

However -- While most of the games will operate on +-0 EV for the house -- We still operate slots and some other games for the gooners and the degenerates. Some of the games will have a house edge. Also even though blackjack will not have a house edge assuming perfect play, there will still be a lot of users who will play sub optimally, thus bleeding money to us.

Our slots are still better than the competitors.

Fundamentally it's the same game with the same odds, however, we give you a rakeback that's worth 50% of the house edge paid.

So if you pay on a standard slot, for every 100 you wager, you'll lose 4 on average. We INSTANTLY give you 50% of this back, effectively lowering the house edge from 4% to 2%.

Comparing to Stake -- They will instead give you these 'bonuses' through their levelup system, which we are not a big fan of. These bonuses are designed as clever retention mechanisms which utilize psychological phenomenons like the sunk cost fallacy, and they are designed to give you extra dopamine hits and they make you come back to the site over and over again to claim your daily, weekly and monthly rewards, and the list goes on. And in the end, even if you claim all the rewards, it's not going to be nearly as much as the 50% that we give you INSTANTLY with no strings attached.

So many casinos claim to be the 'most generous casino' and they have this penis-measuring/marketing contest of who gives the highest ratio of rewards. But if you do your research on this, you'll find out that this is nothing but a highly profitable deceptive strategy to keep you hooked and deceived. It's also a really clever trick for them to obfuscate the inherently high house which they use to fuck you in the ass.

How do referral payouts work?

We just released the MVP version of our referral system. For the time being, we are going to do manual payouts, approximately once per 1-7 days. More info to come on this soon.

Since the house edge is so low, the referrals part is quite tricky, so we need to get creative about it. We are not yet going to commit to any particular referral rates as we want to maintain flexibility, but we promise to you that we're going to be generous with the splits. If and when we find spots to generate +EV from the users you refer, we will give you a nice share of it. In the beginning, the plan is to give a very heavy split from blackjack, whenever people play sub-optimally. Giving a share of the other games is very tricky, because our mission is to just offer the best possible odds for the user, and any referral payouts we give would mean worse odds for the user, which is very counter-productive towards our mission. However, we'll find a way to make it work.
